Last night social networks were abuzz with news that Generations actor Menzi Ngubane had passed on. This is of course nothing but a rumour as a colleague of mine spoke to Menzi's wife and she confirmed that Menzi is still alive and recovering well in hospital.
It is very sad that such rumours are so quick to spread, and how quick we as people are so quick to spread such news around and without waiting for any verification from credible news sources.
The same fate fell on another Generations actress about a year ago. Sonia Sedibe (Ntombi) was also rumoured to have been involved in a hectic car accident and had died on the scene, these are the same rumours that were spread around about UK disc jockey David Guetta.Why spread such news about another person? Do you not think of the impact this will have on others?
